A repair verification is an independent inspection to inspect a construction project, remodel, renovation or a follow up re-inspection performed after required or recommended repairs have been completed by one or more parties on behalf of the client.
Repair verification inspections are limited to the area or areas which were repaired or are being re-inspected. These may include one or more systems and/or components of the home, outlined in the scope of work to be performed by the inspector.

Identify and describe specific details of building that may cause moisture-related problems;

Inspect for indications of moisture intrusion;

Communicate how to prevent moisture intrusion by proper installation of systems and components;

Understand how energy, moisture, water, and vapor moves through a building;

Recognize evidence of structural damage and previous repair; and
-
Communicate to clients indications of moisture intrusion.

Identify damage caused by moisture (damp insulation, condensation, warped materials)

Inspect for mildew (this can be identified on walls, stored items, as well as by smell)

Inspect for plumbing issues (including waste and supply lines)

Inspect for electrical issues and wiring

Inspect for foundation issues (cracks, settling, shifting)

Inspect for floor damage (including the framing and supports)

Inspect for pests, vermin, and other animals

Inspect for Adequate and clear ventilation

Identify amateur repairs
